Olson and Kari Olson, husband and wife <br /> (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 1966 Shadywood <br /> Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter the"City") and legally described as follows: <br /> � Lot 36, Shady Wood,Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter the"property"); and <br /> • WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 to allow a detached <br /> garage to be located less than 75' from the OHWL of Lake Minnetonka where no <br /> � structure is allowed and 0-75' hardcover resulting in 48% where 0% is normally allowed <br /> , and 50% currently exists; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1403 to allow a detached <br /> garage to be constructed resulting in 1,711 s.f. or 30.3% structural coverage on a property <br /> where 1,500 s.f. or 26.6% of structural coverage is permitted and 1,271 s.f. or 23% <br /> currently exists; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1438 to allow a detached <br /> garage to be located 11.5' from the rear lot line where a 30' setback is required where the <br /> doors face the street. <br /> NOW, T�IEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> Orono,Minnesota: � <br /> FINDINGS <br /> • 1.
