RESOLUTION #388 <br />A RESOLUTION TO SUPPORT THE CONCEPT <br />OF FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, <br />Minnesota, that <br />1) The concept of federal revenue sharing as proposed by <br />President Nixon is sound; and <br />2) It is in the best interests of the Village of Orono that <br />such a plan be enacted; and <br />3) Local government' He' ea§... fadditional revenue,sources to finance <br />public services that will reduce the'bbrdeh of the property tax; and <br />4) Present federal programs lack flexibility and result in long <br />delays in obtaining grants. } <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono Village Council that <br />it support the concept of federal revenue sharing and request that the <br />funds be.realloca.ted within present revenue without increased taxes <br />and be granted to local government without special conditions. <br />Adopt'e�d `by�-'the' VT1'la'ge Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting held March 8, 1971. <br />Louis B. 0 er auser, Mayor <br />Attest: A <br />Ralph H.
