Zoning File #1602 November 14, 1990
Please review the Council minutes enclosed (Exhibit C), the
Council reviewed the application at 2 meetings providing them
adequate time to review the site. In consideration of the stone
wall that surrounded the bituminous area, and the need to provide
safe access to the County road, the Planning Commission approved
.'V. a;’hardcover variance requiring the removal of a shed 168 s.f.
of hardcover. Council approved the average lakeshore setback
variance and a hardcover variance of .5%, approving hardcover at
5,829 s.f.
The Council's approval was based on the shed being removed
and such removal to be confirmed at the time of a footing
inspection for the new construction. Council made the following
findings:
1. The encroc jhment of the average lakesh'ore setback is
minimal at a l-l^s' and will have no negative impact on the
lake views of the adjacent residences.
2. There is no hardcover in the 0-75' setback area on the
property.
3. The proposed total area or size of the residence
structiire is consistent with the size and area of
surrounding residences on adjacent lots of similar size.
4. The existing bituminous drive is required to maintain
safe nccess to the adjacent County road.
The -applicant seeks approval of a renewal variance and
proposes no changes from the original application approved by
Council in 1989.
