RESOLUTION #385 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION #380 <br />BY INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF SPECIAL <br />ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED FOR WATER IM- <br />PROVEMENT.1970LW-1 AND LOWERING THE <br />RATE OF INTEREST TO BE CHARGED <br />BE .IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, <br />that paragraph 4 of Resolution #380 of the Village, adopted on January 12, <br />1971, authorizing the issuance, sale and delivery of $1,130,000 Improvement <br />Bonds of the Village, etc., is hereby amended by changing $978,815 to <br />read $1.1,130,000 and by changing 8% to 6-1/2%. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting Held February 8, 1971, by.a. vote of 4, ayes and 0 nays. <br />Louis B. O er auser, Mayor <br />Attest: ICT /Vto.� <br />Ralph H Martin, Clerk -Administrator <br />RESOLUTION #386 <br />A RESOLUTION RECYCLING OF CONTAINERS AND <br />t POSTING OF PHOSPHATE CONTENT <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Orono Village Council that it is aware <br />of -the problems caused by non -returnable bottles including soft drink <br />and beer bottles and of phosphates in detergents and the problem has <br />become a threat to our environment in general and to Lake Minnetonka <br />specifically. <br />THEREFORE, we encourage all Village Councils in the Lake <br />Minnetonka area to adopt resolutions requesting wholesalers and retailers <br />to use only returnable bottles and require that all retail stores selling <br />detergents require posting of phosphate content of same, and <br />FURTHER, we.req{ies,t that the Minnesota Legislature enact a <br />state law prohibiting the use of non -returnable bottles and requiring the <br />posting of phosphate content of detergents. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of the.Village of Orono, Minnesota, <br />at a regular meeting held February 8, 1971. <br />Louis DE er`fi auser; a or <br />Attest: <br />Ralph K Martin, Clerk -Administrator <br />
