The Metropolitan Council, by its Resolution No. 70-58, <br />approved the acquisition of the Village of Orono's treatment works by <br />the Sewer Board. <br />2. The Village of Orono shall transfer its sewage treatment works and. <br />necessary appurtenances and the property on which the treatment works <br />and such appurtenances are located to the Sewer -Board as of December 1, <br />1970; and the Mayor and Village Administrator are authorized and directed <br />to execute all.deeds, conveyances and contracts necessary for this <br />purpose, including a contract similar in form and content to the one <br />attached hereto and marked Exhibit A, with necessary modifications. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono at a'regular <br />meeting held November 23, 1970. <br />outs B. 0 er auser, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Ralp rtin, Clerk -Administrator <br />RESOLUTION #375 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE AND <br />FIXING DATE AND OTHER DETAILS OF PUBLIC <br />SALE OF $1,130,000 IMPROVEMENT BONDS <br />Member Searles introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council of t:h•e Village of Orono, Minnesota, <br />as follows: <br />1.It is hereby found and. determined that this Council did <br />on May 25, 19701% by Resolution #338, order a local improvement under <br />Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, designated as Improvement 1970LW-1; <br />that the estimated cost of said improvement is $1,108,000, and that <br />it is necessary and expedient for the Village to offer and sell at <br />this time its general obligation Temporary Improvement Bonds in the <br />principal amount of $1,130,000, for the purpose of paying the cost <br />of said improvement, $22,000 of said bonds repres"nting interest as <br />authorized by Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.56. <br />2. This Council shall meet in the Village Hall in said Village <br />on the 12th day of January, 1971, at 5:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose <br />of receiving and considering sealed bids for the purchase of said bonds, <br />and awarding the -sale thereof. The Village Clerk shall cause notice <br />of sale of said bonds to be published not less than 10 days before <br />the'date specified for receipt of bids in the Minnetonka Sun and the <br />Commercial West. <br />
