AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: February 24, 2025 <br />Title: <br />Purchase Office Furniture <br />Presenter: Joe Ruthenberg <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />Item: 10 <br />The purpose of this council action is to approve the purchase of office furniture for the new <br />Communications Specialist position. <br />2. Background: <br />At the February 1 Oth council meeting the council approved the addition of a communication <br />specialist position to the city staff. The hiring process is underway with tentative start date mid - <br />March. As this is a new position office space and furniture is needed. Staff has identified a space <br />for the new office space and the facilities department is currently soliciting quotes for the <br />necessary renovations. To convert the space, some renovation and the procurement of office <br />furnishings is required. Furniture quotes were solicited and received. Quotes for renovation are <br />still being collected and will be submitted for approval at a future council meeting. <br />3. Scope: <br />The scope of work for this item includes the purchase of a desk, chair, and storage cabinet. <br />4. Cost: <br />Staff received three very similar quotes for office furnishings furnishings with the best quote from <br />Continua Interiors for $2,245.
