CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />No. 7556 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO TRANSFER <br />YEAR-END POLICE DEPARMENT BUDGET SURPLUS <br />WHEREAS, the police service contacts with Minnetonka Beach and Spring Park refer to retaining <br />unspent budgeted funds into a Police CIP; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds are to be used for future police related expenditures as identified in the <br />police service contracts; and <br />WHEREAS, the funds are currently being tracked as part of the Police Capital Fund (437); and <br />WHEREAS, the unspent funds in the police department budget within the General Fund (101) will <br />be transferred at year-end to the Police Capital Fund (437) to meet the minimum requirements of the police <br />service contracts; <br />WHEREAS, staff will designate Orono's portion to be transferred to the Police Capital Fund (437) <br />not to exceed calculated total maximum amount; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Finance Department is authorized to process <br />year-end transfers to the Police Capital Fund (437) from the General Fund (101). <br />ADOPTED this 24th day of February 2025, by the City Council of the City of Orono. <br />ATTEST: <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />25 <br />
