Utilize notification from the City Attorney to <br />CounciImembers individually. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that given the interest as <br />expressed to be that of initiation of lawsuits against the City <br />that it only be done when the City has been served with a <br />summons and complaint and that if denied appropriate by the <br />Attorney the notificiation process be done through the City <br />Attorney’s office individually addressing copies of those suits <br />to counciImembers in order to retain appropriate attorney/client <br />privilege in these matters. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by seconded by that the Council <br />direct staff to notify it when notification of an actual civil <br />lawsuit is received and that such be done to the counci Imembers <br />through the City’s Attorney.
