Present to Council information regarding education and issue <br />development f<^r new Councilmembers. <br />INTRODUCTION - In the past as new CounciImembers are in the <br />process of joining the Council background information regarding <br />pertinent issues has been provided to these individuals. Given <br />the anticipation of strategic planning to be done once the <br />Council is fully assembled, combining the two seem to be an <br />opportunity of which to take advantage of. <br />DISCUSSION - The pupose of the strategic development and <br />information would be to: <br />1, Present <br />City. <br />me. iternatives currently facing the <br />2. Provide the pertinent background information for all <br />the CounciImembers. <br />3. Provide a means to allow the irdtvidual members to <br />outline other issues and alternatives as feedback <br />from the individual members to staff. <br />4. Provide a means for staff to review the issues <br />initially with each Councilmen- r prior to full <br />Council review. <br />Issues and information would be includec .i a notebook for <br />CounciImembers including those present CounciImembers who will be <br />continuing. It is hoped that this will be completed by the end <br />of November or the first week of December. <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />1. Accept the information. <br />2.
