I urge you to be certain that this redraw is forward thinking. <br /> The work on the Ryan property is the result of Long Lake's project years ago that coincided <br />with heavy rains. The issues were blamed on the heavy rain, but they were also a result of <br />increased hardcover, loss of vegetation and rerouting drainage all over Long Lake. I <br />documented it and submitted my concern that the water volume was increasing back then. <br /> The volume of water routed into this drainage continues to increase. Looking at the new <br />drainage on the Ryan property, we are seeing ice dams, overflows in a normal heavy rain and <br />standing water in all low areas of the 2 lots well after they should have disappeared. When <br />the drainage is redrawn, it will be important to be proactive and anticipate the increase in <br />volume and what might need to be done in the future to accommodate this. Will the sides <br />need to be steeper to stop the area from flooding and carrying more dirt downstream to clog <br />the marsh. Will there need to be a holding pond to stop the flooding? Does Long Lake need <br />to find an alternative to route for their drains?
