Ordinance. <br />Local communities draft shoreland ordinance <br />consistent with local Comprehensive Plans and <br />Shoreland Management Plan policies and <br />guidelines and are sensitive to existing land <br />use development patterns. <br />Public hearing for ordinance, <br />DNR for review. <br />transmittal to <br />3. Local adoption of shoreland ordinance. <br />Administration and Enforcement. <br />1. Local shoreland development and specific <br />zoning matters shall be the responsibility of <br />the individual cities and the DNR. <br />2. Storm water management shall be the <br />responsibility of the individual cities and <br />the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District. <br />3. Lake access, lake use, and shoreland <br />recrec ;ion shall be the responsibility of the <br />LMCD/Metropolitan Council. <br />4. Community land use changes which require <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment shall be <br />referred to the LMCD for review and comment. <br />5. In dealing with shoreland jurisdictional <br />matters, it shall be the City’s <br />responsibility to coordinate with the LMCD. <br />Direct developer contact and negotiation with <br />the LMCD is not to take place. <br />(NOTE: The preceding statement assumes the current Appendix C of <br />the Long Term Management Plan will be deleted and eventually the <br />Policies portion of the Plan outlined above, will replace any <br />such Ordinance material.)
