ORONO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 8, 1990 <br />NAVARRE HEIGHTS DRAINAGE CONTINUED <br />Bernhardson stated they felt it was a public hearing that <br />was not required. <br />Goetten asked if the people who did not get a chance to <br />speak at the last hearing because of the time difference need to <br />have another time to speak before the required public hearing. <br />Bernhardson stated that is why they are having another <br />opportunity at an informal hearing. On October 22nd this issue <br />will be an agenda item. Then a notice will be sent out to <br />people, not posted in the paper. <br />A motion was made by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded by <br />Goetten, to allow residents to present their thoughts and <br />concerns regarding the Navarre Heights Drainage on October 22, <br />1990 prior to anything further being done on this project and <br />another public hearing shall be scheduled at the time f plans <br />and bids. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />Ms. Cuff stated that she wanted to be sure that t re will <br />be a statute public hearing so this will not come back to her <br />again at some point in time. <br />HIGHWAY 12 CORRIDOR <br />This was an informational item. <br />A motion was made by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded by <br />CounciImember Nettles, to accept the Highway 12 Corridor <br />information. Motion, Ayes-4, Nays-0.
