AGENDA ITEM <br />Date: February 10, 2025 <br />Title: Technology Improvements to the Police Department <br />Presenter: Correy Farniok, Police Chief <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br />Purpose: <br />Item: 7 <br />To seek approval from the council for a technology upgrade initiative aimed at upgrading visual <br />and audio capabilities and enhancing operational efficiency. <br />2. Background: <br />The current technology in the training room/Emergency Operation Center (EOC) has become <br />outdated, leading to inefficiencies and not optimal for hosting meetings, trainings and when <br />operated as an EOC. This project was identified and supported in the 2025 Capital Improvement <br />Plan. <br />3. Scope: <br />This project includes the following upgrades: <br />-Larger television monitors, a large projection screen and laser projector <br />-Audio speakers throughout the room <br />-Equipment controller similar to the council chambers. <br />-Wiring, installation and programming of the equipment <br />4. Cost: <br />The estimated cost for the technology upgrade is $30,600.00, which includes procurement, <br />installation, system set up, programming and training. <br />Funding: <br />This project was identified and approved in the 2025 Capital Improvement Plan. The funding <br />sources for this project will be from the Police Forfeitures (Treasury Funds). <br />6.
