Job No: 9C849
Re: Soil Percolation Test - Block 1, Lot 1 of Chippewa Second Addition, Orono,
Minnesota.
Dear Sir:
We were retained by you to perform soil percolation tests at the above
property (see Drawing No. 1 attached). The tests were performed on October 15,
1976. The procedure was in accordance with the methods designated by the Minnesota
Department of Health, 1971, and somehwat modified our engineering judgement.
The attached log sheet indicates the observed percolation rates at each of
the test holes (P-1 through P-6). The observed percolation rates at each of the
test holes was within the maximum allowable rate of 60 minutes per inch, as recom-
mended by the Minnesota Department of Health. Based on these observations, the in-
stallation of an individual soil absorption system will be acceptable in the area
tested.
In addition to the above percolation test holes, one test boring B-1 was
drilled to a depth of 10 feet below the existing ground surface to determine if the
water table is less than that depth. According to the readings listed below, it
Is our opinion that the level of the long term ground water table was located at
a depth greater than 10 feet below the existing ground surface at the time of
testing.
wiltloo C.
