Tne cellular system consists of a cellular phone that both transmits and receives radio signals. <br />From the mobile phone, calls are sent to a central computer called the Mobile Telephone <br />Switching Office (MTSO). The cells are also overlapped to insure calling success even during the busiest <br />hours and days of the month. The system is engineered to provide e.xceilent signal strength <br />and clarity. This is called roaming. .As cellular mobile .syste.ms <br />e.xpand throughout the nation, many major highway corridors between cities will be covered <br />with additional cells.
