Since release of the <br />draft, we have been concerned about several areas, including: <br />1. The Shoreland Management Plan and the lack of <br />adequate information and guidelines. <br />2. The proposed expansion of LMCD staff and the role <br />the staff intends to play in Shoreland Management; <br />and <br />3. The related increases <br />Plan. <br />in costs to implement the <br />We are troubled by the lack of responsiveness on the part of <br />the LMCD to the concerns expressed. The rush for plan <br />adoption seems unwarranted. We are aware that other Lake <br />Minnetonka communities have similar concerns. As a result, <br />we are suggesting that you withhold support for the present <br />draft of the Plan and not endorse its adoption at the <br />September 26th LMCD Board meeting. <br />Moreover, if there is a shared concern on the part of a <br />majority of affected communities and the LMCD persists in its <br />present course, the City of Wayzata is proposing to host a
