CHROI^OLOGY OF EVENTS - DECK PERMIT <br />Fall 88 <br />10/21/88 <br />10/28/88 <br />10/31/83 <br />11/3/88 <br />11/18-/88 <br />11/29/88 <br />12/13/38 <br />12/30/88 <br />2/2/89 <br />Fall 89 <br />Feb 90 <br />2/27/90 <br />Started replacing boards on rotten deck. <br />As it progressed, entire deck was done <br />because all wood rotten <br />Letter from City - They want permit by 10/31 <br />Sent letter to City stating we only replaced <br />the existing deck. <br />Letter from City - permit required <br />Called to ask if plans required. They will <br />come out and do an inspection <br />Note left by inspector - v/ant permit <br />Permit application delivered to City <br />(they claim they didn't get this) <br />Letter from City - want permit <br />Another copy of permit to City (they later <br />claimed at’meeting 3/90 they never got second <br />permit application but then found a copy dated <br />11/29/83*by us and marked date rec'd 12/30/33 <br />Letter from City - they now want Certificate of <br />Survey and Hardcover Calculation. Called <br />neighbors who were doing survey next door and <br />they said cost over $2,000 <br />Ticket issued for failure to apply for permit. <br />Went to Ridgedale Court 3 tim.es to try to take <br />care of ticket and were told none on record, <br />assumed matter dropped. <br />Orono Police came to hom.e with arrest warrant <br />for failure to pay ticket. Police officer <br />determined the reason Ridgedale couldn't find the <br />ticket was because City spelled name wrong. <br />Iverson instead of Everson. Paid ticket rather <br />than argue an” further and thought matter settled. <br />Letter from Orono stating still want applicaticn <br />(now claim they don't have) and giving deadline <br />of March 6 (note 7 days after date letter typed <br />which was received March 3). Called Lyle Oman <br />and he agreed to meeting at City 3/16/90
