(2.07 acres) <br />Application: <br />The applicants are requesting variances to construct a 736 s.f. detached garage with a dormer <br />above to provide additional storage space on the property. Variances are required for locating an <br />accessory structure nearer the front lot line than the principal structure and side setback. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br />Planning Commission recommended by a 3 to 1 vote to; <br />• Approve a v 'nance allowing the accessory structure to be located 227' from the front lot <br />line where the principal structure is loc.ated 329' from the front lot line where no accessory <br />structure is allowed to be located nearer the front lot line than the principal structure. <br />• Deny a side setback variance allowing the garage to be located 5' from the side lot line <br />where 10' is required for accessory structures. The requested variance would result in <br />encroachment into a 10' drainage and utility easement. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />To approve or amend the enclosed resolution.
