.M,Q <br />JAN 1 \ 1999 <br />Cl IY OF ORONO <br />Department Approval: <br />Name Ron Moorse <br />Title City Administrator <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: January 7, 1999 <br />ITEM NO: ^ 0 <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />City Administrator’s <br />Report <br />Item Description: Work Session Schedule <br />The City Council has a number of important issues to address in the coming weeks and months. <br />These include identifying priority objectives for the year, addressing policy issues related to the <br />update of the City's Comprehensive Plan, and addressing Zoning Code update issues. Also, the City <br />Assessor would like to meet with the City Council in a work session in late February, prior to the <br />mailing of the valuation notices, to summarize and explain the results of the annual revaluation <br />process. The Orono Schools' architect would also like to meet in a work session with the City <br />Council and Planning Commission to review the site plan for the new middle school and the new <br />media center on February 9,10 or 11. <br />It may work best for the Council to schedule a series of work sessions during the months of January, <br />February and March to address these issues. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to select dates and times for a series of Council work sessions.
