CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7551 <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION TO MS. MARIA VEACH FOR <br />DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS A MEMBER OF CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS,Maria Veach has served this community with distinction during her two years as a <br />city council member; and <br />WHEREAS, her service has been marked by exemplary dedication to the best interests of the <br />community; and <br />WHEREAS, her commitment to public service and willingness to share ideas improved <br />communication within the community; and <br />WHEREAS, her commitment to the preservation of Orono’s character has been reflected in her <br />decision making; and <br />WHEREAS, the performance of her duties and responsibilities as Council Member has been <br />characterized by constructive contributions to the communityin efforts such as the Long Lake Fire <br />Advisory Board, the Communications Committee, and the Budget Committee to name but a few. <br />RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Orono does hereby express its sincere <br />appreciation and thanks to Maria Veach for her service to the community. <br />FURTHER, that the City Council extends to her their best wishes for continued success in her <br />future endeavors. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held January 13, 2025. <br />ATTEST:CITY OF ORONO <br />_____________________________________________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />53
