CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7549 <br />A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION MR. DENNIS WALSH FOR <br />DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AS MAYOR AND MEMBER OF CITY COUNCIL <br />WHEREAS,Dennis Walsh has served this community with distinction during his eight years as <br />mayor and two years as city council member; and <br />WHEREAS, his years of service have been marked by exemplary dedication to the best interests <br />of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, his focus on responsible and long-term budgeting to allocate the appropriate <br />resources to ensure the provision of city services; and <br />WHEREAS, his commitment to the preservation of Orono’s character has been reflected in his <br />decision making; and <br />WHEREAS, the performance of his duties and responsibilities as Mayor has been characterized <br />by his constructive contributions to the community as a member of the Code Review Committee, <br />Budget Committee, Human Resources Committee, Communication Committee and Police <br />Commission, to name but a few. <br />RESOLVED, that the Orono City Council does hereby express its sincere appreciation and thanks <br />to Dennis Walsh for his service to the community. <br />FURTHER, that the City Council extends to him their best wishes for continued success in his <br />future endeavors. <br />Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held January 13, 2025. <br />ATTEST:CITY OF ORONO <br />_____________________________________________________________________ <br />Christine Lusian, City Clerk Bob Tunheim, Mayor <br />51
