(.72 acres) <br />Application:The applicant proposes to add a 12’ x 16’ addition in the required street <br />yard setback of an existing residence and to add a lakeside upper deck and <br />stairway to be located within the 75’ lakeshore setback. A hardcover <br />variance is required in the 0 ’-75’ setback because the existing residence <br />is currently located almost entirely in the required lakeshore setback. A top <br />of bluff setback variance is required to allow grade changes on the west <br />side of the residence. A conditional use permit is required to raise the <br />house 4 ’ to allow the construction of a walkout basement where tlie land <br />alteration/grading will require 15 cubic yards of fill and be partially located <br />in the lakeshore setback. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br />At the September 21, 1998, meeting the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />requested variances and conditional use permit on a 6-0 vote, subject to provide an accurate <br />grading plan with the amount of cut/fill determined.
