§ 6.05 <br />Subd. 7. Submission of Plans to Public Works Director. <br />All plans submitted to the Building Inspector for his or her <br />approval, which include or involve a sidewalk, curb and gutter, <br />driveway, driveway turnaround, driveway approach, curb cuts, <br />roadway surfacing or private improvement in any public road or other <br />public property in the City, shall be referred by the Building <br />Inspector to the Public Works Director for his or her approval <br />before a building permit shall be issued. <br />Subd. 8. Construction Requirements Generally. In <br />addition to the rules, regulations and specifications as outlined <br />by the Public Works Director with respect to the improvements <br />listed above, the following requirements shall be complied with <br />when work is done under the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />A. All driveway approaches shall intersect <br />piiHiTg road pavement at an angle to be approved by the Public <br />Director based upon the physical characteristics of the public <br />road, driveway approach and the parcel of land being accessed. <br />-^uch angle shall be as close as is reasonably practical, in the <br />judgement of the Public Works Director, to a right angle to the <br />pavement of the public road. <br />B. No curb cuts shall be made in such a way that <br />the curb return extends beyond any property line as projected, <br />except when consented to, in writing, by the adjoining property <br />owner involved. Said consent, if necessary, shall be submitted to <br />the Public Works Director prior to the issuance of a permit. <br />C. The top of the paving of the driveway approach <br />slab at the curb line shall be 1 5/8 inches above the flowline of <br />the gutter, and shall not extend into the gutter beyond the face of <br />the curb or beyond the gutter line, and shall not be constructed in <br />a manner that will in any way interfere with the use of the <br />for the purpose of travel or maintenance. The constructed^ public <br />road shall not be excavated in the process of constructing the <br />driveway unless previous approval, in writing, has been granted by <br />the Public Works Director. <br />D. Driveway culverts shall be provided and <br />installed by the owner as required by the Public Works Director. <br />E. Driveways shall not be cons*^v ^rtcid over <br />stops, catch basins or other structures, if at possible. If <br />there is no other feasible location for the driveway, it shall be <br />the responsibility of the applicant to set the curb stop, catch <br />basin cover, or any other structures flush with the final driveway <br />surface. <br />ORONO CC 141-1 (7-25-88)
