� ' • � <br /> _ C�t� of ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> � NO. ���/ <br /> • • � • <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to assist the property <br /> owners of the neighborhood in the efficient, economical, practical and <br /> successful solution of their sewage treatment problems, which assistance <br /> may culminate in the construction of a sanitary sewer collection system <br /> in the neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, a sewage treatment project is currently under <br /> consideration for the Minnetonka Bluffs - West Ferndale Area of Orono, <br /> and it is likely that a sewage treatment project for the North Shore - <br /> Scotch Pine Area could be constructed at less expense to the property <br /> owners involved if bid concurrently with the Minnetonka Bluffs - West <br /> Ferndale Project. <br /> WHEREAS, any public improvement project of this sort must be <br /> undertaken according to the laws of the State of Minnesota, and may <br /> include financing by means of assessment of all or a portion of the <br /> costs of the improvement to the benefited properties, pursuant to <br /> - Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br /> City of Orono hereby orders and instructs the City Engineer to study <br /> the proposed improvement project and to report to the Council with <br /> all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to <br /> whether the proposed project is feasible and as to whether it should <br /> best be made as proposed or in some other manner, and the estimated <br /> time of completion and cost of the improvement as recommended, which <br /> report should include at least the following information: <br /> l. Proposed sanitary sewer lateral location. <br /> 2. Location of pumping station or stations. <br /> 3. Proposed location and method of service hookup each lot. <br /> 4. Total project cost. <br /> 5. Proposed assessment area. <br /> 6. Assessment alternatives. <br /> 7. Estimated cost per unit. <br /> 8. Estimated cost for service hookup. � <br /> 9.
