C it� o� ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> • NO. 1111 <br /> • - • • <br /> TAX FORFEITED LANDS <br /> RELEASED FOR PUBLIC SALE <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized <br /> and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, the City has received <br /> from Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which have become <br /> the property of the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate <br /> taxes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners have classi- <br /> fied said lands as non-conservation land and have authorized the sale <br /> of each such parcel of land subject to review and release by the City; <br /> and <br /> WHEREA,S, the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance with <br /> local zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special assess- <br /> ments remaining unpaid to the City, and/or for possible public use by <br /> the City as authorized by the Statutes. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br /> Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 282, hereby approves the <br /> classification of each of the following parcels of land as non- <br /> conservation land, and furthermore approves the public sale of each <br /> parcel of land as listed below. <br /> Release of these lands by the City Council does not constitute an <br /> assurance that each parcel is or will be approved as a building site. <br /> All parcels remain subject to all applicable zoning ordinance provi- <br /> sions, including those regulations providing for minimum lot area <br /> and minimum lot width. Substandard parcels may be useable only in <br /> combination with other adjoining parcel (s ) . <br /> Release of these lands by the City Council is subject to the condition <br /> that all outstanding special assessments due at the time of forfeiture , <br /> as listed hereinafter, shall be paid in full to the City upon return <br /> to private ownership. Any amount not recovered at the time of sale <br /> shall be subject to reassessment by the City. <br /> PAG E�_O F 2 <br />
