CITY OF ORONO <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Ordinance No. _ _ _ _ _ <br />An Ordinance amending Section of the Orono City Code <br />relating to park dedication and casFTor development of land. <br />The City Council of the City of Orono ordains as follows: <br />Section 1 • <br />Section 2.20 of the Orono City Code is hereby amended and the <br />current fee schedule for park dedication fees is hereby repealed. <br />Section 2. <br />Section Par)cs, Playgrounds and Open Space. <br />A. Lands for Public Use. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, <br />open space, a given percentage of the land being platted or devel <br />oped as hereinafter specified, said portions Hi <br />Citv. In lieu thereof, the subdivider shall, at the option of the <br />City, pay to the City, for use in the acquisition, development ot <br />maintenance of public parks, playgrounds, <br />and debt retirement in connection with the land previously <br />acqu.-' red for such public purposes, an <br />based upon the fair market value of the land <br />form of contribution (cash or land, or any <br />shall be decided by the City Council based upon the need and con <br />formance with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />B. n.«ile«t.d Land Requlrem.nts. Any land to be dedicated as <br />a requirement of tnis section snailbe reasonably 521 <br />the above public purposes. Factors used in evaluating the a <br />quacy of proposed dedicated areas shall include size, shape, topo <br />graphy, drainage, geology, tree cover, access and location. <br />C. Land Dedication Minimum Area.
