REQUIBEMENTS <br />TELECOMBTONICATIONS SYSTEM <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />This request for proposal is being made to obtain quotations <br />for telecommunications systems as the cost of a system is <br />expected to be under $15,000.00 in total and therefore not <br />required to be bid. This request for proposals is not to be <br />construed as a competitive bid. The City will select a system <br />that it determines to be in its best interest. <br />It is the intent of these requirements to outline in detail <br />the minimum requirements for installation of a PBX telephone <br />system that, in addition to the specified touch tone peripheral <br />phone instruments and attendant console, performs its switching <br />capabilities through the use of a software controlled stored <br />program. The capacity of the equipment must have a minimum <br />capacity for 45 to 50 stations (system to serve new facility <br />needs) and 12 trunk lines (in/out). All equipment must be new <br />(current products, not discontinued items) and prices must <br />include all equipment, labor, supplies, fees and all other costs <br />incident to make the system functional. <br />Each proposal may propose an alternative design, but such <br />proposals must be submitted on a separate set of proposal sheets. <br />All material exceptions to the proposal that are at or below <br />the minimum must be listed on a separate sheet specifically <br />entitled "Exceptions". <br />The attached general requirements shall apply except where <br />specifically in contradiction to balance of the requirements. <br />Installation must be done by March 16, 1990. <br />j <br />Page 2 of 17
