Officer Scott KuTper would assume Fischenich*s schedule <br />slot. <br />I have asked Officer Fischenich to make a committment of <br />three years to the Department in exchange for the training <br />and he has readily agreed. <br />The cost for training, first year start-up costs, equipment <br />(without a vehicle) would be $6000. <br />I am asking Council permission to proceed with the program <br />as I need to notify the Minneapolis Police Department by <br />July 14, 1989, if we are going to participate in this years <br />program. <br />I further request permission to approach civic groups for <br />funds to cover training and a dedicated vehicle for the K-9 <br />use.
