274 <br />RESOLUTION #293 <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE'MINNESOTA HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER <br />TO SET' SPEE•D LIMITS ON CERTAIN. STREETS IN THE VILLAGE OF .ORONO <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota'Statutes, Chapter 169.14', Sub. 5, provides that the. <br />Highway Commissioner may authorize speed zone signs within the Village - <br />of .Orono', and <br />WHEREAS, certain Village streets are in low density residential areas <br />and are ;main arteries so..that speeds should be set at higher than 30 <br />miles per hour.` <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Minnesota Highway Commissioner is <br />hereby requested to authorize the posting of 35 miles per hour zone on <br />the following street: <br />Old Crystal Bay Road from County Road #84 to County Road #6 <br />and the -posting of 40 miles per hour -zone on the following streets: <br />Watertown Road from Willow.
