*°410 <br /> CITY OF ORONO <br /> IL RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ��� G~ NO. 7541 <br /> 9kESHov- <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE DATA SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS,the city of Orono on behalf of its prosecuting attorney desires to enter into a Joint <br /> Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of <br /> Criminal Apprehension; and <br /> WHEREAS,the agreement authorizes the use of systems and tools over the state's criminal justice <br /> data communications network for which the city is eligible; and <br /> WHEREAS, the agreement provides the city the ability to add, modify and delete connectivity, <br /> systems and tools over the five-year term of the agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS,the city is obligated to pay its costs for the network connection. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Orono City Council approves the Joint <br /> Powers Agreement by and between the State of Minnesota acting through its Department of Public <br /> Safety, Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the city of Orono on behalf of its prosecuting <br /> attorney. <br /> FURTHER, Assistant City Attorney, Henry A. Schaeffer, or successor, is designated the <br /> authorized representative for the prosecuting attorney authorized to sign any subsequent <br /> amendment or agreement that may be required by the state of Minnesota to maintain the city's <br /> connection to the systems and tools offered by the state. <br /> FURTHER, the Mayor of the city of Orono and City Clerk are authorized to sign the State of <br /> Minnesota Joint Powers Agreement. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held December 9, 2024. <br /> ATTEST: CITY OF ORONO <br /> k WOO <br /> Chr e , ity Clerk Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
