9590.3 <51
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Mark E. Bernhardson, City Administrator
DATE: September 5, 1990
SUBJECT: Administrator’s Information
SEri0i95G
CITY OF CRO^O
DAKOTA RAIL - As you may have heard, representatives from Dakota
Rail late last week contacted selected property owners who have
access over the rail together with the City regarding whether
they have easements for utilization of that access together with
proposed billing of various users for lease and/or repair issues.
There are approximately seven crossings of which 4 are City
streets and two County Highways. Legal research will be needed
to be done to determine whether various easements or City rights
of way exist. In two cases they are private crossings, one for
Woodhill and one for residents off of County 15 next to Hanlon
Avenue. While alt native accesses are available, both of these
may not be the most ideal remedy to the problem.
The City will be reviewing the status of this with thu Attorney
to determine what direction would be appropriate t> undertake.
GOAL SETTING - See Attachment
JULY RECEIPTS AND DISBURSEMENTS - See Attachment
WIRE TRANSFERS - See Attachment
