October anu 'November 1990 Calendar <br />ISSUE “ Selection of a work session date to review the budget <br />prior to the public hearing dates that have been set at the <br />August 27, 1990 meeting. <br />INTRODUCTION - In years past in advance of the budget hearings <br />the Council has had a session to sit down anr> -eview the overall <br />revenue picture together with departmental vmditures and any <br />other related policy matters to the budget. <br />Attachment A represents potential dates and it is recommended <br />that if the budget review is to be done it be sometime the latter <br />part of October or fore part of November. Possible dates include <br />October 25 or 26, October 29 through November 2nd, or October 5 <br />through the 8th. Additionally the time for a meeting could be <br />either 5 of 6 o'clock with sandwiches or a traditional 7 o'clock <br />meeting. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Select a date and time. <br />2. Table for further discussion. <br />3. Choose not to have a meeting in advance of the December 3rd <br />budget hearing. <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that the Council set 6 o'clock <br />on Thursday, October 25, 1990 as a work session to review the <br />budget. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by seconded by that Council set <br />Thursday, October 25, 1990 at 6 o'clock as the date and time for <br />the work session to review the 1991 budget.
