235 <br />RESOLUTION #247 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND ORDERING ACQUISITION OF TEMPORARY <br />• CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS BY PURCHASE OR CONDEMNATION FOR THE 1968 <br />OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (68SR-1) <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council has approved detailed plans and <br />specifications prepared by William T. Mills, for the construction of <br />the 1968 Old Crystal Bay Road Improvement Project, hereinafter called <br />'the Improvement, <br />WHEREAS, these approved plans require that certain temporary <br />construction easements be acquired in order to complete and construct <br />the Improvement, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village Council of the <br />Village of Orono, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. That the easements required by the approved plans <br />for the Improvement be acquired by purchase.or condemnation. <br />2. That the Village attorneys prepare a petition or <br />petitions for condemnation to acquire said easements; <br />that the Mayor of the Village of Orono is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the <br />Village any such petition for condemnation; and that <br />the Village attorneys are hereby directed and author- <br />ized to commence condemnation proceedings for the <br />acquisition of said easements. <br />3. That the Village of Orono shall make compensation for <br />such easements as are acquired by purchase as follows: <br />a) Agricultural frontage 10� per front foot <br />b) Lawn frontage 25¢ per front foot <br />c) Trees and shrubs estimated value, not to <br />exceed $100 per tree <br />d) Other items estimated value <br />4. That the Village engineer be and hereby is authorized <br />to have Gordon R'. Coffin, Surveyor, prepare from the <br />plans and specifications for the Improvement and by <br />survey of the premises involved descriptions of.the <br />• various easements to be acquired in order to complete <br />and construct the Improvement. <br />5. That the acquisition of said easements by condemnation <br />or purchase is necessary and incidental to the completion <br />and construction of the Improvement, and that such acqui- <br />sition is for a public use as provided for and authorized <br />by law. <br />Adopted by the Village Council of the Village of Orono, Minnesota, at <br />a regular meeting held June 24, 1968. <br />R. oss, Mayor <br />A"ttes�t. <br />Franc Mixa, C1 rk-A,el indstrator <br />
