Gaffron <br />Ass't Planning & Zonning Administrator <br />City of Orono <br />RE: Application # 1556 <br />Dear Mike. <br />Pursuant to the suggestion of several City Council members I am <br />submitting for your consideration several trade-off ideas regarding <br />our application in the hopes that it would be a satisfactory <br />solution and thereby be acceptable to both the Planning staff and <br />members of the City Council. <br />1. Reduce the existing driveway by the equivalent amount <br />needed to constr%ct the closet addition. Estimate 58-70 <br />sq ft. (See attached Plan.) <br />2. Remove hardcover on th North side of house adjacent to the <br />kitchen/dinning area# as mentioned by a Planning Coramission <br />member# eventhough it existed prior to our purchn'ing the <br />home in 1987. Estimated at 200 sq ft. <br />3. Several Council members v;ere not aware this is a single- <br />level home with no other alternatives for inside storage <br />since we have no basement or 2nd floor. <br />4. The Orginal Plan for this home approved by the City was f^r <br />a 2-level home with a walk-out basement. Apparently when <br />the builder changed to a single-level home# he relocated <br />the lower level exterior door to the main floor in place <br />of a sitdown bench and where we would ptirpose to have access <br />to the walk-in closet. <br />Resectively submitted# <br />i > <br />Gerald and Barbara Nelson <br />1629 Bohns Point Road
