Date: December 9, 2024 Item: 12 <br />Presenter: Maggie Jin, Finance Director <br />Section: Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Title: Adopt 2025 Fee Schedule - Ordinance 308 <br /> <br /> <br />1.Purpose: <br />The purpose of this action item is to approve the 2025 Fee Schedule. <br />2.Background: <br />Each year as part of the budget process, staff updates the fee schedule. The fee schedule sets the <br />price and rates on items and services that the City charges for. <br /> <br />Notable changes to the fee schedule are as follows: <br />Documents and Services <br />Addition of candidate filing fee for election. <br />Reorganized and reworded Data Request section. <br />Building, Planning, and Zoning <br />Application fees increased to more accurately reflect staff's labor cost. <br />Changed fees based on 2012 State Building Valuation Table to the 2024 State <br />Building Valuation Table. Staff had reviewed other nearby cities' fees and found this <br />reasonable. <br />Licenses and Other Permits <br />Retitled Beer, Wine and Liquor section to Alcohol Sales License and reorganized <br />section. <br />Tobacco Sales License, Massage Sales Licenses and Sales Licenses <br />Reorganized sections. <br />Increases to fees per City code and State Statutes updates. <br />Removed Public Dance License section per update to the City code. <br />Utility Rates and Fees <br />Increase to utility fees based on the following: Water - 2%, Sewer - 2%, Stormwater - <br />1%, Recycling - 4% <br />Park Fees <br />Golf Course Season Passes has slight increase for standard, senior, family passes and <br />a slight decrease on junior pass. <br />Public Safety <br />Increase in Officer 119 and Lord Fletchers police special service fees. <br />Added Alcohol and Tobacco Compliance check. <br />Brush Site <br />Section has been added and reflects council's direction at the September 23rd work <br />session. <br /> <br />During the November 25th work session, no changes were suggested by the Council. <br />3.Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends approval of Ordinance 308 Adopting the 2025 Fee Schedule. <br />AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />266
