<br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VACATION OF. -SPENCER STREET
<br />AND PART OF CHARLES STREET; NORTH"OF LYMAN'LANE
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to due and proper notice according ,to law,
<br />a public hearing was held by the Village Planning Commission at the
<br />Village Hall--.,-in-the Village of•Orono, Minnesota, on November 20,
<br />1967, at 7:30' P.M.,CST, to consider the vacation of 'Spencer Street
<br />and part of'Chaxles Street, north of Lyman -Lane) described as follows:
<br />Lots -20 to 37 including Parcel 1001, Orono Orchards
<br />WHEREAS, the Village Council has determined the vacation of
<br />71 the said streets is in the best interests of the;Village;
<br />NOW THEREFOR•E,- IT 'IE, RESOLVED that the above described
<br />streets are hereby vacated.

<br />A RESOLUTION TO EXERCISE THE OPTION TO
<br />PURCHASE THE ORONO GOLF COURSE
<br />WHEREAS,,
<br />by document dated October 5, 1967, the Village of Orono acquired
<br />an option.to purchase the, Orono Golf Course, consisting of
<br />approximately 44.54 acres, together with all improvements
<br />thereon for $150,000 payable over a five-year period•, and
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />at the same time the Village acquired a further option to
<br />purchase for $5,000 all personal property used on the golf. y
<br />{
<br />course for its maintenance., and operation; and
<br />rWHEREAS,
<br />.upkeep
<br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes., Section 412.221, a resolution
<br />was published in a legal newspaper in accordance with statutory,,jt,,.
<br />requirements notifying the voters of said option and advising
<br />them of their statutory right to require a vote on the matter,. ;
<br />by a petition filed with the Village; and r
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />thereafter a petition meeting the statutory requirements was
<br />f il.ed,•w,ith',,the •Village ; 'and
<br />WHEREAS,
<br />the question of the purchase of the golf course was submitted +1
<br />to the voters at the regular Village election _ held ;
