Rules ch. 7100) <br /> Facilities that have less than 1 million gallons in tank capacity are covered under a general permit <br /> issued on November 1, 1995. These requirements pertain to above-ground storage tanks storing <br /> liquids, such as petroleum products, used oil, chemicals, food products and pulp. A site is <br /> considered to have a liquid storage permit for its above-ground storage tanks if the following <br /> requirements are met. <br /> Tanks over 110 gallons capacity must be registered <br /> Includes: Exempt: <br /> Petroleum tanks Farm, residential, and heating oil tanks 1,100 gallons <br /> Chemical tanks and less <br /> Farm, residential and heating oil tanks over Flow-through process tanks <br /> 1,100 gallons Compressed gas tanks <br /> Agricultural chemical tanks <br /> Tanks over 1,100 gallons capacity must have secondary containment <br /> Includes: Exempt: <br /> Petroleum tanks Farm, residential and heating oil tanks 1,100 gallons <br /> Chemical tanks and less. <br /> Tanks which store a liquid which could pollute Flow-through process tanks. <br /> the waters of the state Compressed gas tanks. <br /> Food tanks(e.g., molasses, vegetable oil) Agricultural chemical tanks. <br /> March 2000 7.62-1 Chapter 7 <br />
