w • <br />1) ASSESSOR represents that he/she is a Certified <br />and Licensed Minnesota Assessor under Chapter <br />273 of Minnesota Statutes and that he/she is a <br />qualified real estate appraiser; further, that <br />he/she will during all times this contract is in <br />force maintain such licneses and qualifications. <br />2) ASSESSOR agrees to attend the Local Board of <br />Review Meeting on a date selected by the CITY, <br />plus attendance at not more than three other <br />City Council meetings in any one year. <br />3) ASSESSOR certifies that he/she has vopropriate <br />liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000. <br />8. Effective Date of Agreement and Term. This Agree <br />ment shall be effective as of January 1, 1990, and employment of <br />the ASSESSOR to perform the services to be rendered hereunder <br />shall commence as of January 1, 1990, for the performance of the <br />1991 and 1992 real estate assessment, and continue until August <br />31, 1991; subject, however, to extension as hereinafter provided. <br />9. Agreement Extension. This Agreement may be extended <br />from year to year on terms to be agreed upon by the parties <br />hereto by the parties agreeing in writing to the same on or <br />before the first day of of August each year thereafter. If this <br />Agreement is not so extended and terminates according to its <br />terms, ASSESSOR agrees to deliver to CITY forthwith such records <br />in an up to date manner as he has in possession concerning <br />assessment of the CITY’s real estate. It being understood that <br />such records are the property of the CITY. <br />10. Independent Contractor. It is agreed that nothing <br />herein contained is intended or should be construed in any manner <br />as creating or establishing the re 1«jtionship of co-partners <br />between the parties hereto or as constituting the ASSES'SOR as the <br />agent, representative or employee of the CITY for any purpose or <br />in any manner whatsoever. ASSESSOR is to be and shall remain an <br />independent contractor with respect to all services performed <br />under this Agreement. ASSESSOR represents that he/she has, or <br />will secure at his/her own expense, all personnel required in <br />performing services in this Agreement.
