Presentation of guidelines to Council regarding the 1991 <br />budget. <br />2. Selection of a date for work session on budget and strategic <br />planning. <br />INTRODUCTION - Attachments A and B have previously been submitted <br />to you and it is requested that a date be set in advance of the <br />August 27th Council meeting on which the tax levy needs to be <br />adopted. As you may recall from before, this is a maximum that <br />can be established and that the Council can subsequently reduce <br />that tax levy should it choose. This requirement is part of the <br />1991 Truth in Taxation requirements. <br />DISCUSSION. - Possible dates include: <br />Tuesday, August 21st <br />Wednesday, August 22nd <br />Thursday, August 23rd <br />Saturday, August 18th <br />Saturday, August 25th <br />RECOMMENDATION - It is recommended that Coucil select a date for <br />an initial budget discussion and goal setting. The LMCD Budget <br />is for informational purposes only. Consideration of it will be <br />during August. <br />PROPOSED MOTION - Moved by seconded by Council establish <br />as the date for consideration of Initial budget discussion <br />for 1991.
