COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD JUNE 25, 1990 JIJL 9 1990 <br />ATTENDANCE 7:00 P.M.flTV fllr <br />The Council met on the above date with the follow-lWg* <br />present:Mayor Grabek, Councilmembers Goetten, Nettles, Peterson <br />and Callahan. The following represented the City staff: City <br />Administrator Bernhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator <br />Mabusth,Public Works Director Gerhardson, Assistant Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Gaffron, City Engineer Cook, City Attorney <br />Barrett, and City Recorder Scheffler. <br />INTRODUCTION-ORONO POLICE CANINE OFFICER <br />Mayor Grabek introduced Officer Dan Fischenich and Baron, <br />the new police dog, to those in attendance. <br />CONSENT AGENDA* <br />Bernhardson referred to Consent Item j|24,regarding Long <br />Lake Annexation Update.He noted that the memo presented states <br />that Tom Barrett had contacted Arlo Vandevegte.He said that is <br />incorrect and that contact will not be made until after the <br />meeting this evening. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek,seconded by Councilmember <br />Nettles,to approve the Consent Agenda.Motion,Ayes-5,Nays-0. <br />Motion passed. <br />ORONO TENNIS TEAM RECOGNITION <br />Mayor Grabek explained that it was not possible for the <br />Orono Tennis Team to be present this evening,but that their <br />Coach,Tim Moynihan, was present.Mayor Grabek presented Mr. <br />Moynihan with a Certificate recognizing the achievements of the <br />Orono Tennis Team for taking 2nd place in the State <br />Championships. <br />Mr. Moynihan thanked the Council for the recognition. He <br />said that the experience was gratifying and the Community support <br />was greatly appreciated. <br />PHIL BRADLEY RECOGNITION <br />Mr. Bradley was not present to receive his certificate. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES* <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek,seconded by Councilmember <br />Nettles,to approve the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting <br />held May 29,1990.Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-0.Motion passed. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek,seconded by Councilmember <br />Nettles,to approve the Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting <br />held June 11, 1990.Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-0.Motion passed. <br />LAKE MINNETONKA CONSERVATION DISTRICT REPORT <br />LMCD Representative JoEllen Hurr was present.She informed <br />Council that a meeting had been scheduled for Thursday, June <br />-1 -
