3.Cost: <br />Per the 2002 Fire Service Agreement capital cost formula the break down of the vehicle purchase <br />cost is depicted in the table below. <br />Expense Amount <br />Vehicle Purchase $ 240,000 <br /> Orono Portion $ 184,900 <br /> Long Lake Portion $ 33,262 <br /> Medina Portion $ 21,836 <br />4.Funding: <br />Funding for the Orono portion of the purchase will come from the Fire Capital Fund. This <br />unexpected purchase request does resulting the the Orono Fire Fund having a negative cash <br />balance for 2025. The Fire Capital Fund will be credited by the same amount in 2026 when Long <br />Lake buys out Orono's share in the vehicle. <br />5.Staff Recommendation: <br />I recommend the approval of the 2025 LLFD CIP. I recommend approval of the purchase of the <br />brush utility vehicle with the condition that Long Lake purchase Orono's ownership share at the <br />purchase price at the end of the contract. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />1. Move to approve approve the 2025 LLFD CIP. <br />2. Move to approve the purchase of Medical Brush-Medical Response Utility vehicle with the Orono <br />amount not to exceed $184,900 contingent upon a written agreement with the City of Long Lake to buy <br />Orono's Ownership share at the purchase price in January of 2026. <br />3.
