A RESOLDTION APPROVING PINAL <br />PRELIMINARY PLAN #2A S.P. 2713-61 (12=10) <br />HIGHWAY 12 SAFETY IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREASr the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br />existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS/ the City of Orono has by previous resolutions <br />requested the Minnesota Department of Transportation, hereafter <br />MnDOT, to correct a safety hazard existing on State Highway 12 <br />from just east of Brown Road North westerly to Old Crystal Bay <br />Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Transportation has prepared <br />final preliminary plans #2A S.P. 2713-61 (12=10) for the safety <br />improvement from just east of Brown Road North westerly to Old <br />Crystal Bay Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the final preliminary plans to include the <br />installation of a semaphore at the intersection of Willow Drive <br />and Highway 12. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of <br />the City of Orono does hereby approve the final preliminary plan <br />#2A S.P. 2713-61 (12=10) safety improvement from just east of <br />Brown Road North westerly to Old Crystal Bay Road contingent upon <br />the installation of a semiphore at the intersection of Willow <br />Drive and State Highway 12. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono at a <br />regular Counci: meeting June 25, 1990. <br />ATTEST: <br />Edward J.
