ORONO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 29, 1990 <br />FREEMAN CONTINUED <br />the property to construct a home. Mr. Freeman asked whether it <br />v/as necessary for a building permit to be issued by October 31. <br />Mabusth stated that Mr. Freeman is correct. <br />Mayor Grabek asked when the building was razed. <br />Mabusth replied that the guest house was razed in October, <br />1989. The principal structure burned down in 1984. <br />Mayor Grabek stated that if the shed and grounds are not <br />cleaned up by June 15th, Mr. Freeman v;ill be required to remove <br />the shed. He informed Mr. Freeman that if a principal structure <br />is not constructed by October 31, 1990, the shed must be removed. <br />Mr. Freeman indicated that he would require additional time <br />to sell the property and asked that the deadline by extended to <br />next spring. <br />Callahan indicated that an extension to spring would not be <br />objectionable, but questioned whether Mr. Freeman would be able <br />to meet that deadline if he could not meet the October deadline. <br />Mayor Grabek suggested giving Mr. Freeman until June 1, <br />1991. He stated that staff may order the shed removed, with <br />Council approval, if the cluttered condition retu-as. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by Councilmember <br />Nettles, that the property be cleaned up by June 15, 1990. If <br />the property is cleaned up, staff is directed to prepare a <br />resolution allowing Mr. Freeman to retain the accessory structure <br />on the property v/ith no principal structure until June 1, 1991. <br />If the June 15, 1990 deadline for clean up is not met, the shed <br />must be removed. If the property returns to a state of clutter <br />any time before June 1, 1991, staff is directed to bring the <br />matter before Council to have the shed removed. Motion, Ayes- <br />5, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />CHANGE ORDER II, WELL 13* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve Change Order #1 for Keys Well <br />Drilling for $975.00 for placing silt fencing erosion control as <br />needed. Motion, Ayes-5, Nays-0. Motion passed. <br />PLANS AND SPECS FOR PUMP HOUSE <br />Bernhardson stated that this item was to provide approval of <br />the pump house plans ana direct the Engineer to advertise for <br />bids. <br />- 13 -
