association ofmetropoiitanmunicipalities <br />BULLETIN <br />May 30, 1990 <br />TO: ^^Member City Officials <br />FROM: ^^|^2arry Bakken, President <br />RE: <br />3 1 1990 <br />^ AMM LEGISLATI^^ POLICY COMMITTEES <br />HELP DETERMINE THE AMM'S LEGISLATIVE POLICIES FOR THE NEXT <br />BIENNIUM: We, as city officials, cannot afford to sit on the <br />sidelines and be silent. There are many critical issues facing our <br />cities now and we must let the Legislature know what we think are <br />the best solutions. We can do this by participating in the AMM's <br />Legislative Policy Development Process as a member of one of the <br />AMM's Policy Committees. <br />The Committees will start meeting the week of July 30th. - August <br />3rd. and will have a total of 4 or 5 meetings each and will finish <br />by no later than September 15th. Please read 'Attachment A' for a <br />brief description of the five standing policy committees. <br />ACTION NEEDED TO BECOME A MEMBER: <br />1. If you were a member of a policy committee last year (1989) <br />and wish to continue as a member of that same committee, no <br />action on your part is needed. (You will automatically be <br />continued as a member.) <br />2. If you were not a policy committees member last year but want <br />to be a member, please fill out the attached form (on back of <br />Attachment A) and return to Carol Williams, AMM, 183 <br />University Ave., East, St. Paul, MN. 55101. <br />3.
