As you will note in the letter the territories served by <br />utilities are decided by the Public Utility Commission. The <br />process would require initiation from you to the PUC and as <br />indicated in the letter, the Commission never has granted a <br />change solely on the basis of rate differencials. It is also <br />indicated that Northern States indicated they have excellent <br />working relationship with Wright Hennepin and L i on this <br />probably would not agressively seek to have this pu *rty added <br />to their jurisdiction without Wright Hennepin's consent. <br />Enclosed is a map of Orono indicating where Wright Hennepin <br />currently has territory in the community. <br />As an appropriate first step, you may desire to talk to <br />Wriqht Hennepin to indicated if they would be interested in <br />allowing such to occur. If so, you may choose to check with <br />Northern States Power to determine what costs, if any, would be <br />entailed for you to have the service switched. <br />Sincerely <br />tai5k E.
