Updating Council on process for LMCD Comprehensive Plan <br />review. <br />3. Having Council determine what final position statement they <br />wish to submit as part of the review comments. <br />INTRODUCTION - At the Council's last meeting they reviewed the <br />preliminary statement of issues as to which would be Orono's <br />response to the LMCD's Comprehe^'» ■' Plan. On June 1, 1990 <br />Attachment A was transmitted to ar^ - ^ '*■; and Councils. At the <br />the public hearing on June 6, 1990 Ac« Mayor Edward Callahan <br />made remarks based on the preliminaiy .t plan. <br />DISCUSSION - The approximate review projesa for the comprehensive <br />plan is as follows: <br />June 6, 1990 - Public hearing comment <br />June 18, 1990 - Close public comments <br />July 'o'O - LMCD considers a final draft review for <br />subm^ 'H to Metro Council <br />August •• October 1990 - Metro Council receives <br />Comprehensive Plan and reviews document <br />Fall/Early Winter 1990 <br />approves/disapproves document <br />- Metro Council <br />LMCD adopts a plan <br />As noted in the process the City would have additional <br />opportunities in addition to input for final draft submission to <br />Metro Council. It may'have additional input at the Metro Council <br />level and also prior to LMCD's final adoption of the plan after <br />Metro Council review. <br />In addition to Orono's verbal comments other cities made comments <br />I
