. RFF
Mke Ka ser VFD
To: cmattson@ci.orono.mn.us L, 1?0
Subject: Stone Bay of Orono Wetland Buffer Plan OFRO
Np
To: Christine Mattson (Planning Assistant)
The Home Owners Association is in receipt of your letter regarding our desire to remove noxious weeds including thistle
located in the wetland buffer area between 769 Boulder Drive and 781 Boulder Drive. Buckthorn was removed in the
spring of 2010 in the wetland aea with Scott Oberaigner's knowledge and assistance in disposing of the buckthorn. We
will not be removing any additional buckthorn with this project.
A project plan is enclosed for your records and includes the following documents: 1) Quotation sheet with description of
work and material to be performed by Wettand Habitat Restorations, Inc. 2)Wetland buffer impact sheet from the 781
Boulder Drive/783 Boulder Drive project that was completed in July 2009 under the direction of Bonestroo Engineering
and the City of Orono. 3)Stone Bay Community map showing the location in our development.
The material being used to replace the noxious weeds and existing vegetation will be the same native seed specifications
used for the 2009 project. That is why I have enclosed the wetland and buffer impact from that project. The Black Hills
Spruce trees and Autumn Blaze Maple trees that will be planted are the same species that the homeowners planted in
July 2009. There will be no change to the existing grade that is the same as the 2009 project.
Any questions of interest can be directed to Scott Oberaigner or Mike Gaffron. They were very much involved with the
homeowners in 2009 when the first stage of the project was completed. I am forwarding this email with signature and
the 3 enclosed documents to you in the U.S. Postal mail. It should arrive by early next week. Let me know if you do not
receive. Christine, thank you for your assistance in this matter. The HOA appreciates the City's assistance in improving
the community.
a--
Mike Kayser
781 Boulder Drive
Orono, MN 55356
952-476-5877
1
