LMCD BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />o) Deicing Deposit Refunds <br />April 25, 1990 <br />Grathwol moved, Boswinkel seconded, to approve the refund of <br />the $100 deposit submitted with the 1989-90 deicing license <br />applicants as recommended by the Water Structure Committee, the <br />eighteen licensees listed in their recommendation ha^'ing <br />performed their deicing without generating additional expense to <br />the District. Motion carried unanimously. <br />f) Excelsior Bay Yacht Club - Environmental Assessment <br />Worksheet (EAW) <br />The Board received the EAW required because of the expansion <br />of +he Excelsior Bay Yacht Club dock structure which covers over <br />20,000 square feet of lake surface. <br />Grathwol moved, Boswinkel seconded, approval of the <br />Environmental Assessment Worksheet for the Excelsior Bay Yacht <br />Club and authorized distribution and publication as required by <br />the Environmental Quality Board. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Excelsior Bay Yacht Club - Request to Operate under New <br />Density License <br />Grathwol conveyed a request from the Excelsior Bay Yacht <br />Club. They would like to provide the amenities required for its <br />new density license and to begin operating under it without <br />construction of the additional eight slips, forl990. The Club <br />would thus have eight fewer rental units, 4 for charter boats, 18 <br />for over-night-storage (rental) and 10 transient docks. <br />Grathwol moved, Lewman seconded, to allow the Excelsior Bay <br />Yacht Club to operate their existing 32 slips as proposed with <br />the same amenities to be provided as offered with their <br />application for 40 slips. Motion carried, Hurr voting Nay, <br />g) Temporary Low Water Variances <br />Grathwol submitted applications for temporary low water <br />variances which have not been considered by the committee. <br />Boswinkel commented on the poor quality of the drawing which <br />accompany some of the applications. <br />Cedarhurst Association (Deephaven); The executive director <br />commented that the Cedarhurst docks are not proximate to <br />neighbors and while they are licensed for 17 slips they will use <br />only 7. <br />Grathwol moved, Lewman seconded, approval of a temporary <br />dock extension permit to allow the Cedarhurst Association, <br />Robinson’s Bay, Deephaven, to extend their dock 30* to a total <br />dock length of 70’, subject to all conditions of the permit. <br />Motion carried unanimously.
