Once actec on by the Planning Commission it <br />would be presented to the Council for a determination. If <br />concluded earlier and policy adopted the Council could repeal the <br />moratorium earlier. <br />ALTERNATIVES - <br />Policy for consideration during the term of the moratorium - <br />1. Clarify in ordinance that 10.20 applies only to City <br />of Orono facilities. <br />2. Determine if the City desires to allow governmental <br />facilities (apart from School Districts which are <br />already a conditional use permit) as permitted or a <br />conditional use permit and under what zoning categories <br />they may be allowed. <br />A. Any residential zone. <br />B. Selected residential zones. <br />C. Commercial. <br />D. Industrial. <br />3. Allow no other local governmental entities or <br />category of governmental entities to construct such <br />^ facilities in the City of Orono. <br />ACTION ALTERNATIVES - <br />1. Enact a moratorium effective immediately. <br />2. Direct staff to undertake the necessary consideration and <br />study of such facilities. <br />3. Table for further discussion. <br />4. Take no action.
