Zoning File <br />May 16, 19‘> <br />Page 2 of <br />*22 <br />Discussion <br />Please review the applicants Letter of Request. They are <br />requesting a hardcover variance to construct a minor <br />addition to the residence. Hardcover is proposed to <br />increase slightly after removals of excess sidewalk area. <br />With all setback and "lot coverage by buildings" <br />requirements being met, the issue is whether additional <br />hardcover removals should occur to result in no net increase <br />or a net decrease in hardcover on the property. It would <br />appeaFThat the most likely candidate areas would be within <br />the fairly substantial blacktop driveway and parking area. <br />The major portions of driveway are wjthin the 75-250' zone. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Planning Commission should consider whether additional <br />hardcover removals are necessary in any recommendation for <br />approval.
